I'm a newb...I was wondering what does it mean when people say
" That camaro sucks, the timing is off..." Does this have something to do with shifting?
Thanks for Helping me out...Hey I might be a newb but you all had to start sometime too.
I appretiate it.

Generally, the expression "timing is off" means that the spark plugs are being fired at the wrong time, or that the crankshaft and camshaft are spinning out of phase with each other.

If you think your timing is off, you can take it to a mechanic, they have a tool to check it, and it only takes a second. If your timing is off it will usually hesistate while driving.
