Default water pump issues

i recently installed a new water pump back in july and now it is starting to leak again, but its coming from the mounting bolts, i have tightened them and it has helped but it still continues to leak from the bolts, any suggestions ?

put some kind of RTV sealant around the bolt threads, that will help it seal.

The silicon may still leak cuase it tends to dry hard. Teflon thread sealant is intended for that use and you may have better luck with that. It can be found next to the silicon at your parts house.

The black permatex works great on threads. When doing a wet clutch on motorcycles and dealers never have a gasket in stock that stuff worked exelent on the side covers.

again, you don't want to use silicon. you want to buy a Permatex RTV used for the proper application. you then want to make sure that the surfaces are cleaned of any residual coolant so they don't affect the way the sealant sits on the surfaces. it is also very common for the coolant to leak out along the bolts it you don't put some on the threads. it is sort of the same way that it can happen with BB Chevy head bolts

take your time, do a clean and thouough job and you should never have anymore problems
