any one know if a 95 v6 with a 5 speed will accept a 97 lt1 will the tranny handle and bolt up any info appreciated any other mods needed?

 

I am not sure whether the 5 speed will bolt up to the LT1, but even if it does it won't last very long under the torque delivered by the LT1.

 

pete is right, my buddy did the swap i told him to wait and save a little more for the t56 but he did it anyway.

i drove in it with him and under normal loads it doesnt seem to be too bad, but when he punched it i thought the trans was gonna blow, it seemed to slightly over rev and made a loud pop sound when shifting into gear, it lasted 3 weeks that way with normal driving, so if you want to save some time and maybe sell the v6 trans to save money on your t56 swap just wait and buy the t56. besides he had to replace various parts from the trans blowing so its not just the trans you will hurt.
