So, I have a 1981 El Camino, and I was thinkin about swapping it's TH350 With the 4 speed auto out of my junker 1987 Camaro. The Camaro came with a V6, would the tranny still be a 700R4?

Just how strong are 700R4s? I have a 350sbc with a cam,new intake,and new exhaust, it should hold up, right? Is it even worth it?

350 isnt bad, is that a 400?

 

87 Camaro V6 has a bolt pattern that would be differnt then your El Camino.

I also must say that those are some nice lookin 1st Gens. I've always liked those Camaros.
And Blade, is that a '68? I'm not a pro on camaros, but I'm trying to get some things straight with '67-'69

Yeah, it's a junker cause I got it 3 days ago for $100, It's stripped down, and getting the built V8 this weekend. But if i'm not welcome here, i'll leave.
