transmission crossmember
i'm swapping my 350 turbo for a 400 turbo.the transmission mount is in a different location on the 400 (about 4" further back).can i use the factory crossmember and drill the frame for a new location or can i get a after-market crossmember just for this swap.i'm not even sure this 350 crossmember will work if i move it back.i was just wanting someone to give me info from there experience.i'm dropping the transmission right now.thanks for any input
never mind.i did use my head,i took the crossmember from the 350 turbo and relocated it .had to move it back about 5" and drill the frame.works perfect.the purpose for this post was to find out did they ever put a turbo 400 in the second gen camaros and if they did what would be involved in getting a crossmember from one of those cars and putting it in my car ,would it bolt right in or would i have to drill the frame and move it back.it doesn't matter now
