hey....i just bought a 99 camaro v6 and i was wondering what would be the best exhaust system/setup?? i dont want that ricey sound like ive heard on some cat-back exhausts...so are there any exhausts setups that sound like v8s?

 

It's going to hard to make a 6 sound like an 8 (impossible actually) But my suggestion would be to find a cat back off of a Z/28 they will flow fine and not sound too bad, it will be quiet though. The reason the 6 cyl. cars sound different is the exhuast pulses are different than a 8 cyl.

 

I recently put a set of Hooker aero chamber on a Pontiac 3.4 with a hot cam & 3" dual exhaust. The darn thing sounds almost like a V8, especially at idle. It is not too bad at high RPM, but you can tell it is a V6.
