Default Subframe Year?

I have acquired what I believe is a early 70's Camaro subframe that I plan on grafting to a 55 Chevy Pickup. I'm unsure if this is actually a Camaro subframe and if so what year it is.Does anyone know ifI can date the subframe from any of the casting numbers on the spindles or are there any other staped numbers on the subframe that I can reference to determine the car make and year.

[&:] im not aware of any marks on the subframe itself to help id the year. i do know that camaros of that vintage were front steer as opposed to novas and others that were rear steer(steering box in front of crossmember or behind it). as for casting numbers on any parts you may contact the dealer or i, or others here have some casting number books which may help. your best bet is to take a couple pics and run to the local junkyard and compare to the subframes there. should get you close enough to get parts as the general was kind enough to usually use the same parts for other years and models kurt

Send me some pics of it, &I will compare them to the '77 Camaro stub that I have in the back-yard!
