1968 Camaro 6cyl ( Someone put the battery in and attached the + cable to the - post on the battery. When he went to put the - on the + post it sparked and now the Gen light comes on at idle
What fried? The alt, Regulator, or the battery?

 

If the car uses an alternator, chances are the alterantor got fried, most likely the rectifier diodes.
