Default Stumble at 2k rpm

My 1995 camaro 3.8 seems to stumble at 2k rpm on the high way, it runs normal if I keep it over 2k rpm. It backfired once, and I'm not getting a check engine light.

I'm no expert but sounds like a plug/wire job might be a good place to start. It might be missing because of an old fouled plug.

Timing is something to check when its adjustable. If you had a scan tool you could see if there was a misfire history and for what cylinder(s). But unfortunatly no one wants to spend good money on one [&o]

So do check plugs and wires and replace the fuel filter just because I know you have not done it. [8D]

Ha! Guilty about not having changed the fuel filter yet. Changing the plugs is going to be a pain on this car.

[:-].... HEY....Thats not nice!!!

Changing the plugs on a 6 is not bad. Just don't try to get them all from the top.Go from the under side.
