stage 1 spec clutch

Default stage 1 spec clutch

ok, i have a 99 ss and two months ago i replaced the oem clutch wit a stage 1 made by spec. less than two months later it starts slippin in gears 4 5 and 6 but only when i get on it. usually when the clutch slips there should be that smell... theres no smell of clutch burn. what is going on? any ideas or solutions

May just be the way you drive. Apparently you burned out the disk and now there is not enough lining left to get enough pressure to make it smell when it slips.

Did You have the flywheel properly resurfaced? If You change the clutch without preping the flywheel, it won't last too long even with the best driver.

Not only that but the stage 1 is barly better than stock. SPEC clutchs are pretty poorly made IMO esp the disc and hub
