Spark Plug Replacement; Engine Size
Forum members,
Months ago I purchased a 1992 Z-29. The seller informed me that the engine was a 350 5.7 liter TPI, and that the car was stock; but according to the VIN number, in which the 8th digit is an F, the stock engine should be the 5.0 Liter 305. Aside from disassembling the engine or checking the engine ID number (which is nowhere to be found), is there any way to identify my engine size?
Also, I've come across an amount of difficulty in reaching and removing the engine spark plugs. I've managed to remove five of them, but the last three, towards the rear of the engine, are proving exceedingly difficult simply to locate. What suggestions can anyone offer to their efficient removal, with minimal, if any major engine disassembly?
Thanks.

So u have a z28? I would think it is a 305. I think 350 came out in irocs maybe nut im not for sure on this. But on the topic of the block # it is usually located on the back of the block where it is very difficult or yet impossible to see with out disassembling the engine.
On the subject of changing spark plugs try from underneath the car. In some cases some plugs are easier to get to from underneath than from the top. As is the case with my 94 z28. U should try putting plugs in that sucker!
