98 camaro auto,
why when i go head to head with another 3.8 it kills me? my car has a full tune up too! NO check motor light ever.... i dont get it.

at my local drag strip i got a 17.30 in a 1/4 mile!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

this thing feels like a four banger. theresNO hesitation and it eventually gets to 118 mph . but it takes like an hour and a half lol.

[&:] does your check engine light come on when you turn the key on?? make sure its not burnt out , WHAT REAR GEAR RATIO DO YOU HAVE???if theres no codes id get the emissions checked and then maybe a compression test. motor may just be tired from getting flogged on. one of these things , once checked, should explain why your car is the way it is kurt

 

Also check that the air cleaner is clean, and that the cat is not partially clogged.

 

well the air cleaner is new but the cat is stock with 110,000 miles. it just feels plugged up i dunno. the check engine light comes on sometimes but its for po1870. so i know it works....

 

PO 1870 indicates the transmission is slipping, that could be why the car is slow.

 

i thought it was the tcc valve or something...
