Default rpm's bump up when cluch is engaged

i have an 02 ls1 6spd that is totally stock except for an SLP skip-shift eliminator. when ever i'm driving normal(shifting at about 2000-2300 rpm, i'll take my foot completely off the gas and push the clutch inall the way and instead of the rpm imediately dropping, they'll bump up by about 200rpm and stay there for a while before they finally drop(this is all while the clutch is completely engaged). it'll do this randomly, like it will drive fine all day, and the next day it might do it for a little while and the go back to normal. i cant think of what it can be since it happens randomly and it gets pretty annoying because you cant shift as smoothly. if anybody can shed some light, it would be appreciated.

Does it do the same thing if you slide it into neutral, without pressing on the clutch pedal?
You may want to clean the IAC and the throttle valve as it may be sticking.
FYI: The clutch is engaged when your foot is off the pedal, it is released when you step on the pedal.

[&:] IAC stands for idle air control (small hole at bottom of throttle plates) should be part of a regular clean and maintenance program(throttle body cleaner ONLY. no carb or brake cleaner) try this with and without AC on you may want to try removing the skip shift eliminator and see if it effects it kurt
