There wouln't be much of a change in idle speed if the IAC valve is stuck. It has a very light spring pushing it closed and it won't work if the valve is all grunged up. You can try cleaning it with carb cleaner (keep the cleaner away from the connector as it may melt the plastic), or replace it.

the TCC solenoid should be able to be unplugged. if not, it's only a 30 dollar part, and takes about half an hour to change if that is the problem

before getting into a big electrical mess or somethng else, try out the basics. its sounds ot me like your timing has shifted, or your not running on all cylinders. i have noticed the same symptoms when i burned my spark plug wires, and also when the destributor turned itself and retarded way too much. get a cheap timing light form autozone or napa and give it a quick test. if you dont kno how then ask the autozone guy to do it for you. if the timing is on cue, take one of oyur spark plugs out, plug it back in to the wire, and ground it on your exhaust. turn the motor over as someone watches the spark plug, and that will tell you if it has spark. repeat for every plug, or jsut go out and buy new plugs, and gap them to teh specs.

Just wanted to let all know who chipped in on this issue of mine that it turned out I bought a defective (new) EGR valve, it was leaking, and the mounting surface was warped. Got her all straightened out and the leak was found using a can of carb cleaner and spraying around to find a leak! Learn something new everyday...
Thanks all.
Thanks all.
