hey guys im new to the forum and dont know if im posting in the right spot but i have a lottle prob with my 93 camaro 3.4 automatic it has a miss fire when just idleing in park or nutreal but when in gear and the brake is on it dies down and acts like it wants to stall out checked the plugs and wires and thair still good what could be my problem any help would be apreciated thanks

 

Maybe a bad sensor, clogged vacume, or possiblly a bad fuel injector. The parts store has OBD sensors you can rent, it free but you have to make a deposite for the price of the sensor but you get your money back. My car (2000 3.8 manual)had a bad fuel injector and it would die sometimes when thrown into nutral or the RPMs would jump down to 500 and the lights would dim down. Just throwing ideas at you.

 

yea thanks ill have to try all that the injector was one of my guesses but ill have to test them

 

well since you check all the wiring.. look at your fuel injectors.. maybe you can clean them first? see if that helps? or just get new fuel injectors.. it wouldnt hurt getting new ones anyways

 

yea how exactly would i go about cleaning them ran seafoam through also today and replaced the plugs again and no change so ill check them out

 

so you used seafoam? you let some of it get sucked up through your vacumn line and then turn off the car let it set for 15 minutes and then turn it back on?.. it will smoke alot though lol so make sure your well ventaled otherwise your gonna get smoked to death lol. and poor some into your gas tank also.. and you can add it to your oil also... and is your car overheating at all? if it is it can cut off on you when going from drive to nuetral so what you gonna do now?

 

yea i ran it through as u explained im gunna have to do the ingector check today and no overheating stays at tha same temp since ive had it and my ses light comes on at random times some times it does and sometimes it dosent

 

What about a vaccum leak? u think it would cause this?
