i need to clean up some rust in my engiine bay and i want to know how i repair that kind of thing. do i grind it down or block it? please help me.

 

Blocking is a process for leveling Primer I am not sure how that would do you any good. Grinding out rust works also but you must be sure you got it all. Is the rust out on open flats where you can grind it? is it all surface rust or is it deep in the metal?

Are we talking show car restoration or you just want it to look nice or you just want to protect your car from further oxidation?
