my 97 camaro has a grinding noise coming from the rear, rear assembly was replace @38,000 by dealer & now have grinding noise when driving car.abs inopt light is on & brake light,dealer said it was drive shaft & abs ecbm module. I don't think it is drive shaft. dealer tried to replace alternator saying battery light was on & it wasn't. I didn't let them fix car only to find out nothing was wrong with alternator. car has 120,000 what do you think grinding noise could be

 

Have you checked your rear brake pads? That can sometimes lead to a brake light coming on.
