Rear end locked temporarily??

Ya it sounds like my brakes are adjusted like that. I really hope it wasn't something caught up inside the rearend gears. I'll change the oil and look for any trace of metal, but I'm pretty sure it should be fine! The guy who did it is very credible and he cleaned out the case very well prior to installation. The rear end only has about a mile on it since the rebuild. I'm starting to lean toward a brake issue. I know for a fact there is a small amount of air in my lines. I did completely redo my brakes using almost 100%new parts. I only reused the long brake line running the length of the car. They seem to be fine(minus the small amount of air) but is there anything I couldn't have done in the brake department that would cause them to lock up like this? I can't think of anything

It really sounds like a sticking parking brake cable. When you put it reverse it likely unlocked/freed them. If they are drums I would double check their adjustment if they are out of adjustment the servo action can cause them to grab and lock up. Also make sure the self adjusters are on the correct side. If they are on the wrong side they will not adjust properly, in fact they will adjust opposite to normal, and cause issues.

I'll have to double check both sides but the drum seems to be pretty loose, but then again it's been a while since ive taken the rear wheels off. I was hoping I was past that stage, but I guess not! I'm really hoping I was just stuck in two gears or something easy like that. I'm gunna be pisses if my brand new ring and pinion are jacked up after a mile of use.
