What craby said. #3 in the firing order on a V8 should be #4 cylinder ( 2nd one back from the pass. side front). Sometimes you may need to change the spark plug boot angle on a particular wire also..

how are the wire run?
stock location?
over the valve covers?
in wire looms ?
# 3 plug do you mean the 3rd one back? or #3 cylinder . which would be the 2nd back on the drivers side
as said. measure the old one
