Default Paint blistering...

What are some of the things I can do to stop paint blistering on the hood of my car? The paint has about 11 blister spots and counting. I'm going to get my car repainted burnt gold/orange with black stripes and I dont want this to happen again. Thanks for all info.

It is just bad paint and or prep. Make sure the blistering paint is all stipped or sanded off. If the primer is blistering it should be removed also. A good paint shop should know this.

Those were some of the blisters...here now is this metal f*** up...dunno how it happened...been there since I got the car. This is on the left rear side.

And for the worst part...the dent that I tried to knock out. Was here also before I got the car.

If someone could also tell me how to upload pics...that would rock. Thanks!

I am not very good at post images either but here is my best shot.
At the bottom of where you write your post there is an area that says click to uplaod. you can get the pics right from you computer staight to herethen click the box to embed and post.
or image shack click the size for web use and add the tags [IMG][/IMG] on each end. I found a detailed how too on a Ducati message board that helped me.

as for the blisters it might be because from the factory there is a release agent on the SMC hood and if not properly preped it will have poor adhesion.
The dents and the scrapes on the bumper cover, its time for the body shop. Or do what I did and learn how to.

Most cars come with a heat blanket stuck to the hood in order to prevent the problem. Is yours still there?

That does not look like heat blistering it looks like a factory flaw with prep.
