Default opti rear gasket repair

Ok I'm getting tired of cleaning up oil spots in my driveway and degreasing my engine on a weekly basis. It's already been established that the gear that turns the opti spark my have been put in backwards and therefore is pushing oil out of the seal. So this weekend I'm going to remove the opti and put the gear in the way it's supposed to go and replace the rubber gasket. Is there anything else I need to look for so I don't have to do this again? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks again pete.

thats the reason i had to replace my opti last time, the seal by the timing cover blew, all you need is the seal i believe
