Did your balancer have a groove in it? Did you notice any end play in the crank?

I asked about the groove because believe it or not that rubber seal can wear a groove in the steel balancer. Are you positive it is coming out of the seal? No movement in the crank?

Is the front main seal a pretty common spot for an oil leak because I'm having the same problemon my 95 Z28 LT1. I haven't attempted to fix it because it leaks so bad I can't really pin point where the oil is really leaking from, but if the front main seal is a pretty common spot for an oil leak then i'll try and replace it. If anybody can help me I'd greatly appreciate it.
