Default Motor Drop Help

Im trying to drop a Chevy 350 into my 1979 Camaro. I already ran into a few problems. First of all I had to remove the bellhousing from the motor to fit it into the compartment due to the working conditions. The main problem is that the hoist, motor, and car on on a slight incline so the car sinks to the right and the motor hangs to the right. I lowered the motor into the compartment and onto the mounts but it wont align correctly due to the incline. Does anyone have any advice for me?

I'm assuming your car used to have a 6 cyl engine? Are you using v8 motor mounts? I'm thinking maybe you're not?

have you tried jacking the car up on the low side or using a bar to direct the engine? its not always going to fit in perfectly. its also easier with the bell housing on the trans and not the engine.
