A week or two ago I got a flashing SES light, got the scanner said "random/multiple cylinder misfire" I knew that much was hoping it would tell me more than that. I erased the code, car ran fine until the other day when I got the flashing SES light again, only now there is a clicking noise coming from inside the block, it is proportionate to the RPMs. I am a thinking pushrod is hanging up. Any ideas?

Does the LT1 have hydraulic or solid pushrods?

 

sounds like your plugs are going out. not sure bout the push rods. they are prolly solid.

 

The clicking could be due to a bad lifter or loose rocker, if you are sure that it is coming from inside the engine. However, it could also be a bad plug wire arching.

 

I got her to work fine now, I changed the cap and rotor, the wires, the coil, pulled the bosch platinum plugs and put in ac rapidfires. Seems to be working.

 

Clicking is still there though
