Default A little help?

This doesn't have much to do with my Camaro except for the fact that im driving it daily now. Heres the problem. My daily driver (2000 Ford Escort ZX2) the timing belt went. I need to fix it. But I'm not sure I will have all the tools. I have a lot of tools though, but does anyone know more specifially about this job? It is a DOHC 2.0 motor. I have the Chilton manual, and I am extremely mechanically inclined and very experienced. But I haven't done one of these motors in a long time, and I still don't know everything. But can anyone just tell me if I need any special tools? Or equipment ETC...Thanks in advance.

Just read thru the Chilton manual process for the repair. It will list any special tools needed.

No special tools needed, give yourself a couple hours since it's kinda hard to get at in those cars, but it can be done with a simple socket set as far as I remember.

i got a 94 with the 1.9 but it has the same set up the tensioner, water pump and ac are all ran in the belt system on the passenger side of the engine if i remember right. it doesnt take any special tools but you do have to unhook the motor mount and jack up the engine, for changing a belt its retarded but its not to hard and having a buddy there was a big help
