Default Leaf Springs

I just purchased a 12 bolt Moser rear for my 69 Camaro. It has Multi leaf perches. I am going to order multi leaf springs but need to decide if a 4 leaf or a 5 leaf will work. How can I tell which will fit. Will the 4 leaf need spacers. Will the 5 leaf be stiff riding ? Also, will I need a different size U bolt as far as width and length ?

Either should fit, the perches don't necessarily surround the springs completely. I would go with the 4 leaf myself. I have 5 on mine, and it is a stiff ride. I might get a little more than 1.5" of vertical travel, but that's if I hit a bump or a big dip in the road. If you bounce the back of the car, it barely moves. I've actually been considering taking them apart and removing a leaf. Usually the u-bolts are specified for either single or multi leaf.

Thanks for the info, Nice ride, I will go with the 4 leaf . I had been told that the 5 leaf was a rough. Your experience confirms it. 4 leaf it is, Thanks.
