keyless remote question.

RE: keyless remote question.
Ha - i JUST started a thread on this a week or two ago:
Here goes:
The reason I was having a problem was because I bent down the postive contacts inside the remote while replacing the batteries and I did not realize it. Make sure they are bent up so that they make contact with the chip, and make sure the contacts that are attached to the chip are also bent down so that they make contact with the negatives on the battereis.
If you have verified that the batteries are making good contact inside the remote and it still isn't working, try reprogramming it:
1. Turn the ingition switch to off
2. Jumper program connector terminal 8 and 4 (look about where your right knee is, assuming a normal driving position, for a little plug. It has 8 holes on the top, 8 holes on the bottom- put the end of a paper clip in the 8th top hole, then put the other end of the paper clip in the 4th top hole). The door locks will lock and unlock in approximately two seconds
3. Press lock and unlock button on one of your remotes. Door locks will lock and unlock in approximately ten seconds. The RFA Module is now programmed for the first transmitter.
4. Repeat step 3 using other transmitter if you have more than one remote
5. Disconnect jumper from program connector.
Note: This is for a 1995 model. Another year model might be different.
If this doesn't work, your remote might be screwed up.
