That is good advice from JD. I would't do more than port matching, and removing sharp edges from he combustion chamber on my first attempt. It is very easy to damage a perfectly good head, or to grind in the wrong place and make the head flow worse.

thanx for the info i will research that before i start. does the port and polishgive u more power and how much approx?
It cabn if done right, but you really need a flow bench to be able to measure your results, other wise you are just blindly hacking. Do like Pete said and just deburr and smooth things out, don't worry about polishing things. Polishing the intake ports can cause the fuel to puddle and on the exhaust side the carbon build up will take away any benifit after a few hundred miles.

i think that i will just leave theheads how they are and just gasket match around the edges and call it a day. thanx fellas!

I have noticed with that cam a set of stock vortex heads work great(not as good as aftermarket) but better then the old stock 194's from pre 87

with a stock bottem end and the vortex heads and that cam how much horse and torque do u think i will make?
