It's a 1991 RS 3.1

The first time I try to start the car, it will just crank but won't start. Also, when I stop trying to crank it I can hear a buzzing noise coming from the front of the car. The check engine light also comes on when I turn the key into the "on" position now.

After that however, it will start up just fine without any problems what so ever.. this is the most weird problem I've ever encountered on the car.

Any ideas what it could be?

The buzzing noise doesn't last, it goes away after a few seconds and it only does this the very first time I crank it, after that.. works like a dream.

 

scann for trouble codes and see what comes up. could be a relay sticking.
