Hypertech Power Programmer

It's pricey, is it worth it? for a 3.8L camaro? found one for almost 400 dollars

I got 1 its ok . The hypertech website has a dyno test their programmer and results showed 11RWHP on regular gas and 13RWHP wit premium gas. I got mine of ebay. You could try craigslist though and get it cheaper there

[X(] for HP per dollar dont think its a great investment, things like air intake kits, good tune up and injector cleaning, synthetic lubes for engine, differential etc can free up HP for alot less money. it is nice and easy to do but im not sure if used ones can be expected to perform as ive heard that they are programmed to be one time use only(may be wrong so other please correct me if so) a fifty to 100 shot of nitrous may be fun and cost about the same but can create longevity problems with the engine (not that the v6 was known to last a long time to begin with) and if you want v8 power get a v8 while there are ways to optimize a v6 for more power and efficiency the money spent for all the bolt on goodies will pay for that v8 upgrade kurt
