Here's some meat to go with your potatoes!
393 stroker motor. Crank's rod journals offset-ground to increase the "383's" stroke from 3.75" to 3.85", and c.i. to 392.9.
Block decked .020
Ross lightweight forged flat top pistons
Hydraulic cam, .500 lift, 240° @ .050
Erson roller rocker arms
GM heads (1972 castings), 2.02 intake, 1.60 exh., ported, blended bowls, screw in studs, double springs (120 lbs.), guide plates
Balanced rotating assembly
Tunnel ram intake, dual 450 Holleys
Flowtech "Afterburner" ceramic headers, full length 3" exhaust
Built up Turbo 350 trans, manual valve body, cheetah shifter
Ford 9" posi rearend, 4:10 gears, Moser axles
MSD 6AL ignition with adjustable rev limiter module
MSD pro billet distributor
Plugging all the numbers into my D.D. comes up with 464 crank h.p. @ 5500 rpm, 496 ft. lb. torque @ 4500 rpm
Haven't had the opportunity to give it a real-life dyno yet to support or dispute the +/- factor, but the butt-dyno says it's gotta be damn close!

Camaro 69 - that is a beautiful car. Wow. And the motor is pretty impressive as well. I'd like to see some hard numbers on it as well.

Also, to you fellers who always bash the Mustangs.... why is it that 2 out of the top 3 HP numbers posted so far come from Mustangs? =P Sorry, couldn't resist.

Because most of us who have responded are driving cars that are 20+ years old, or V6s.

Although, even with 100 less hp, it's worth noting that my IROC-Z took a 2008 GT off the line and stayed ahead of it right up to ~70km/h. Horsepower isn't the only thing that makes a car fast
