HELP!!!! Car wont start!!!!
A jumper is just a piece of wire that's bare on both ends.
You are using it to "jump" the switch out.
Pull the plug (my 5 speed its located at the top of the clutch pedal and just has two sockets in the plug.
Stick one end of the wire in each side of the plug.
Then see if it'll crank.
Hope that helps.

Re-reading your post, it sounds a lot like you have either a loose or shorted wire in your electrical circuit.
It could be a dead battery from a bad alternator, (have had a car with a bad alternator die on me while driving due to the battery going dead from lack of charging).
-A way to check that is to pull the battery (or just disconnect it) and charge it overnight.
-In the morning, re-connect and then see if you get anything.
-If nothing, then I would jump the starter solenoid. (on my old ford I could lay a screwdriver across the two terminals) BE CAREFUL if you do this. The intent isn't to start the vehicle, just to check to see if your starter actually functions and you have sufficient voltage to start.
-If nothing happens = bad starter (or miswired - wrong wires on wrong starter solenoid terminals possibly).
-If it cranks, you know that the starter is fine, there is a problem with the ignition circuit. Bad starter relay, bad ignition switch (had one in a car you had to "turn just right". That car was impossible for someone to steal
), definitely something in the ignition circuit..
Let me know how it goes.
Best of luck.

Hey c4maro,
3.73 help the accel quite a bit. Actually makes my 305 feel peppy.
Haven't done any cross-country in the car, but its fine on the local Highways.
Of course I can't hear too much over the stereo (big amp and big sub)
