Default headlight issue

HOOKAY so here's the Earth! (anyone, anyone....bueller)

i just bought a 96 RS. everything worked fine on it until thurs night i think. that's when i realized that my headlights are no longer working. they worked when i bought the car but now both low beams stopped working. the High beams work just fine so i'm basically blinding everyone i pass (you only pass them once, right?)

now the cigarette light was popped out of the dash so i put it back in the dash. i am unable to remember if those two events coincide.

so, at last the question: What the heck happened to my lights and is it related to the cig lighter. i haven't had the chance to look at it yet cause i've been working doubles. so today's the day and i figured i'd use this opportunity to throw up my first post.

thanks

Are you sure both of the bulbs aren't burned out? Also low beams have a fuse.

I am not sure if the 1998 Camaro wiring is the same as the 1996 (I am assuming that it is similiar but I could be wrong) Anyway, here is the wiring diagram for the 1998...Hope it helps... (as you can see though, the low beams are on the same circuit as the highs and tails...)
