Has anyone removed 4th gen wiper motor?
The Haynes manual says to remove the "stud nut". The stud is quite easy to get to, but I can't budge it, and there is no "nut". This is on a 1999 but would be the same for the later years.
The information GM provides its dealers involves the disconnectionof the wiper linkage to remove the motor, and does not mention or involvethe stud. To do this you need to use special GM tools, one to disconnect the linkage, and another to reconnect it. Because of access problems I don't think pliers or screwdrivers would work.
Is my only option going to a dealer for this? I have already bought a used motor. Please help!
