has anyone ever heard of water getting into the trhottle body
Ok I have a 2002 V6 Camaro and it acted up on me so it went to the shop and it was found that the trottle body was full of water and it fried all the sensors now the dealership told me that to repair it would cost over 1700$ and the extended warranty will not cover it this doesnt sound right. This problem sounds to me like a design problem. has anyone else had this problem if so please respond Thanks....

Have you driven the car through deep water? Once water gets as high as the bottom of the air intake plumbing it will get sucked up into the engine and possibly break your pistons (hydrolock), in addition to messing up the electricals. If you are using a cold air intake, it will make things worse as it is designed to look for fresh air below the bottom of the car and consequently find more water to suck in. There is also an off chance that the hot water passage through the throttle body may have sprung a leak letting the coolant in.
