RE: full tubbed and minni tubbe etc..
A picture of a full tub is attached below. Tubs aremainly used whenbuilding a pro street car. A true pro street will have a narrowed rearend and HUGE tires. In order to fit the tires inside the fenders, the inner fender wells, part of the trunk floor area, and the unibody framerails are cut out. The car is also "back halved", meaning new rear frame rails are fabbed to thebody, and it's considerably narrower to accomodate the narrowed rearend. Obviously the rear suspension needs to be reworked, and a 4-link is a popular pro street set-up. Those tubs thenget welded in place and become the new inner fender wells. Rear seat is lost, as well as some trunk space.
Mini tubs are basically conventional looking inner fender wells, but a few inches wider than stock ones. Again, the inner fender wells get cut out, rear frame rails may need to get notched and refabbed, and the leaf springs (if so equipped) may have to be moved inboard. This will allow you to put some meatier tires on and still fit them inside the fenders. With some creative work, only the sharp eye will be able to tell from inside the trunk, and the rear seat canbe saved as well.
