Im 18 and have aquired my moms 1981 camaro she bought new, this thing has sat for years upon years and im trying to get it running good again. It has the stock v6 motor and i just replaced most of the vacuum lines on it. It will idle perfect when in park and sounds just fine when you give it gas but as soon as you put it in drive and give it more than a quarter way down of throttle it dies. any suggestions??? also it is missing a vacuum line from the thermal vacuum switch to the carb and i cant figure out where it hooks up to the carb, does anybody have pictures?

just trying to get a piece of american history back on the road and have a unique car from other kids my age.

 

Sorry no pics but if it has sit that long, you might have to take the carb off and clean it real good or rebuild it.
