Fan switch problems
So i decided to wire up a remote fan switch in my 94 z28. The summer here is constantly in the 100's and sitting in traffic for more than 10 mins causes my temp gauge needle to near the 3/4 mark.
I bought a rocker switch with a built in LED, some wire and some terminal connectors to fit the switch.
I tapped into the dark blue and dark green H & J wires on the pcm wiring harness and connected them to the load terminal on the switch. I used the ground from the cig. lighter and connected it to the ground terminal on the switch. I used the 12v ignition switched power from my head unit (i was also installing a clarion head unit at the time) and connected it to the 12v terminal on the switch.
It doesnt work.
If I jumper the ground and load terminals on the switch, the fans come on. If I connect the ground wire directly to the load wire, the fans come on.
If I activate the switch, only the friggin red LED comes on.
What am I doing wrong?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

i have no idea wut ur doin but the easiest way is to run a 10guage wire from the jbox with a inline fuse for saftey to ur + side of the switch run a ground to the ground on th radio, and run anther wire from the positive wire of the fan to the middle of the switch.
ps run it through the firewall and not the door jams. do it right.
