Default engine number help

I have been trying to figure out what the engine in my Camaro is. I have searched the net for serial decoders but I am either missing something in decoding the number or am totally out of the ball park.

The serial number of the engine is To415CSB.

Thanks for any help.

The specifics depends on which year it is, and you can find a date casting on the bellhousing flange on the passenger side of the block, and the block casting number from the drivers side.
CSB suffix is for a 400 small block.
It's either a 1973 175 h.p. with a 2 barrel carb, or a 1976 175 h.p. with a 4 barrel carb.
That's a desireable, and hard to come by block for performance nuts.
Here's a handy info site to check out:

I think the last year for the 400 4 bolt main was 1973 they were 2 bolt after that. The funny thing is the two bolt is more desirable than the 4 bolt in these blocks the 509 casting is supposed to be the one to have. I have a 4 bolt 400 I think its a 511 casting.

Buy a Ford. You will be a happier person, and suck less.
