MY car is going heywire when I get on the accelerator. I think it is the fuel pump. but I dont really know.it only does it in first gear when you first take off and when you take off when you have it to the floor it acts as though it were dyin it hesitates so bad. and then it'll move once you let off the accelerator. I am also getting a raw gas smell from my exaust system. plz any responce to remedy this matter would be awsome.

 

i would pull some plugs and have a look...if youre having a raw fuel smell it sounds like youre experiencing a rich condition, which wouldnt make sense wuith a bad fuel pump unless it is surging...

 

well I have elinated everything on the fornt of the car. so the only thing left is the fuel pump or the lines but I dont know. and then that studder that it does when I get on the gas doesnt help my suspicions.

 

is there a fuel pressure regulator on your car?

 

I dont know....Where would that be located so I can look for it. and what does it look like. I think the regulators were in the tank with everything else.

 

I FIXED IT!!!!!!!!!! A wire decided to ground its self to the engine block....go figire! anyways its fixed and I can get back to whoopin up on rice again
