I have an 89 IROC-Z Convertible. The trunk release seems to be inoperative and all the wiring was disconnected in the trunk when I bought the car. I hooked it all up and found that the switch on the console releases the tonneau cover. Nothing happens with the trunk release.
My question is how is the trunk release acutated on these cars. I suspect there is a problem with mine hence the wiring being disconnected.
I am hoping someone with one of these cars or who has experience can enlighten me on how this is supposed to work.
