Default Remote trunk release

So i ran into a little problem. Not a huge deal but it has me stumped. My trunk release button on my remote turns the light on in the car but does not pop the trunk. The key works fine, the interior button works fine. Im not too sure what it is. Are these models equipped with an over ride? (its a 94)

Idk but mine releases the trunk but you have to open it like right as the button gets pushed or it locks again its like a two person job

Mine does the same thing. I have to time it just right after i press the button and pull up on the hatch. Sometimes it takes a couple goes.

I had problems with the trunk release but worked with everything else.

I changed the battery and now it works great, just a thought.
