Hello all......I am considering buying a 1996 Z28 and was wondering if they require premium fuel only or if they will happily feed on regular....thanks in advance for the info.......

 

PREMIUM. If you don't want trouble that is. 10 1/2 - 1 compression requires the use of 93 octane.

20 extra cents is worth it...your thinking about getting a maro right?

 

If you use anything below premium the computer will retard the timing and you'll loose power, you can run mid grade without damage to the motor, but c'mon, that means less power, and nobody likes that. Anything 91 and up you're good.
