Couple questions
I have an 86 IrocZ with a 305tpi.
First, I do not have the stock timing cover with the tabs and I need to time my car better than by ear. What can I do? (I do have a timing gun)
Secondly, my oil pan is bent in a little bit from previous owner. Oil does shoot up under my valve covers and my gauge usually reads a little less than 30psi, but very rarely does it get over thirty. Isn't it supposed to get to 60 when driving?

RE: Couple questions
[&:] your motor should have come with the timing pointer kind of behind the water pump to verify find tdc on #1 cyl and see where zero mark on dampner is. youll need to get another timing cover with the proper timing marks and make a template to identify tdc then just work off that or get an aftermarket pointer for future reference if your oil pres reaches 30 your probably doing alright for an older motor 60 for a newer motor or when its cold with a heavy weight oil would be close to normal
