Changed out my coolant temp sensor and released most of my coolant through the head. Now, I bought coolant and later noticed it was Dex Cool. Somebody told me that will ruin my gaskets cuz its meant for newer model vehicles. Is that true? Do I need to change to the green coolant?

 

Also what pressure lb radiator cap should I be running?

 

Dex cool and the green stuff do not like each other, and eventually turn into sluge if mixed. Give the cooling system a good flush and fill it with either one or the other. The parts store should have a chart for the proper radiator cap for your car.
