Default Coolant problems...still

So i just replaced a faulty heater control valve and with it half my coolant because it had all either leaked or turned into a cloud emerging from under my hood.

So it was mostly clean new coolant in the system and now the heater control valve is still leaking a little bit so i'm just wondering if it might be a hose at the connection, and now all of my antifreeze has turned into a dirty brown color.

i'm just wondering what might cause all the new antifreeze to get so dirty so fast and would the only thing to do just be to flush the whole system again?

did u flush the heater core hooking up at the hoses coming off the water pump? sounds like u kick up some crudd when the fluid started goin threw the core. it may have plugged something up.

^^^ what he said. Flush it both ways until the water comes out clean. If it is that dirty, I would flush radiator as well.

The coolant is brown? The others have indicated a very likely possibility, however, make sure it is not oily which would indicate motor oil mixing with coolant, a serious issue.

it was brown in the overflow reservoir, but when i went to flush it and opened the radiator, the coolant inside was still green. is there any reason it would only be dirty in the overflow reservoir?

the overflow must have gotten a good shot of crudd when u overheated and it got stuck in there. if the coolant turned brown on u then there is something in there and has settled. u should still flush the heck outa it.
