I have finally begun restoring my 67 RS Convertible, which I have had for years. It is a northern car and needs a complete innner and outer wheelhouse replacement on the driver's side (in addition to the qp).

My question boils down to how do you work around the additional reinforcements found only in convertibles? Has anyone had any success installing new wheelhousings without having to cut them up in order to work around the braces (the way some books recommend)?
