Very true, it may be burning it. If I idle it for a while there is a cloud that hangs around the car, I know some of that is because it does run pretty rich. Some of it may be oil though...

sounds like some oil may be getting past the rings- especially if you are getting visable smoke from the tailpipes (grey)

Grey/blueish smoke = oil, black smoke = running rich.

Well I just checked the coolant and now I'm kinda pissed... I'm not sure if it's "frothy" but it is definately a muddy/poop brown color. And the radiator cap was covered in it, like mud.

ls1's use orange coolant. thats normal. it will also tend to coat the cap in a dusty orange/brown crap. dont worry about this.

Is it supposed to be like a thick mud around the cap? I had enough to make a small mudball and splat on dads windshield if I wanted.

mine was about like that i think. urs may be a little dirty, but who knows when it was changed last. i cant remember the name of the coolant type, but dont get anything but the approved type. im not sure why..,.. they just say not to, not even the "can mix with any color coolant!" type. i just know its orange in color...and smells like play-doh

Not a bad idea flushing the system. Use the orange fluid again, not green. Its called DexCool right? Not sure what to say about the goop, maybe it had stop leak in it....
