Default RE: cold start valve????

Thanks for the feed back.the fule pump is about a week old and so is the fule filter.where is the fule pump relay? or oil pressure sensor.Ichecked the fule pressure again and its about 47psi,it stays that high for about 3-5 seconds then it drops to zero! wierd,if i dont spray anything into the throtle body thers no fule pressure, but once i spray it ,it will turn on and the fule pressure gose up to 45psi.Righ now i took the intake manifold off and im going to change the fule pressure regulator, the old one dose not look too bad. What else could cause the pressure to dop like that? Thanks again.

check specs, if I'm right fuel press should be a bit higher than what you're reading. Regardless, it should hold that that prssure once the pump cycles off, it should not drop that far that fast. judging from what I've read in this thread this sounds like a definate fuel delivery problem. If the regulator dose'nt fix the problem and there are no fuel leaks, then it all points to the fuel pump back bleeding fuel pressure.

ok i changed the fule pressure regulator, and now the fule pressure is stable when i turn the key on its about 47psi, and when the pump shuts off it stays at 40psi.But the car will still only turn on if i spray carb cleaner into the throtle body and it stays on runing good till i turn it off.THEN I have to repeat the process. A TROUBLE SHOOTING NIGHTMARE!!! thanks for ur help guys.ID STILL RATHER PUSH A CHEVY THAN DRIVE A FORD!!!!HAHA.
