carburator issues

RE: carburator issues
low vacuum is typically only a concern @ idle with particular attention being paid to power brakes. don't worry about low idle affecting carb secondaries. go with a Holley 670cfm Street Avenger. yes, I said 670cfm.

I think that a vacuum secondary 750cfm holley single pumper will work great. I wouldn't go with the double pumper because thats more gas then you need.

( Even though I'm sitting with PFI )

RE: carburator issues
i think i am going to go with the street avanger 670 i called holley to get to the bottom of all of this. so i told them my setup and they said thatthe cfm rating is the max the carb can flow that doesn't mean that is what it will flow that much into my engine. my engine will only take what it needs and i found a chart that said my 350 will flow 625cfm at 6500rpm and for high performace engines add about 5%. they told me that it will pull the same cfm from almost any carb but if you can stay slighty above what the chart recommends then at any given rpm you can flow the max cfm the engine needs butsince the venturies are smaller than say a750 it will flow faster wich will increase my torque but not affect my top end but i do appreciate all the info
